re_startRestart, rethink. Everything. Again.

It’s that part of my life. Sometimes you have to close the past. Close the world, open the nExt (seems familiar? Serial Experiments Lain). So I’ll open up the new one. I have a lot to do, I have a lot to learn. “Improve day by day” will be my new motto. Freelancing, when you have a full-time job is not a good idea, trust me. Been there, done that, never again. So recently I closed all my personal freelancing works (one minor thing is left, but page is 90% ready). When you have a freelance job, which you should do at home, it will frustrate you, even when you want to relax, after a hard day’s work. It’s just not worth the money.

So after closing my last project, I restarted training (6 times a week). I also sleep less, but I feel myself better. I do learn new things in my new free time. I do experiment with node.js, raspberry pi. I read javascript books, watch educational videos from google guys / developers. And I also go outside to bike. Mountain biking is always relaxing. Go out and try it if you can, you won’t think about your problems when you bike…because in the nature you don’t have problems. If you focus on something which you really like to do…your problems will fade out.

I’m a self-taught learner, I was always one, and will always be. Problem was that in the last 1-2 years I did not focus on learning. Of course I’ve learnt a lot during working hours, you do learn pretty much every day, if you have a full-time job, but after a few years on the same project, it’s quite possible that you won’t learn new things, so this is what happened to me. So let’s get back to business.

– Be more social, share problems and solutions (there are some funny stories and issues to share), try coding dojo, try latest technologies, sites, everything

– Learn new technologies (node.js, HTML5 APIs and related)

– Read and learn about management, in which I’m also interested.
